Judge Talford Band
Judge Talford Band is comprised of five very talented musicians from rural Tennessee. Buddy Mason and Shane Norman had known each other for a long time and eventually ended up playing in the same band. After some time they decided to put their own band together. In the past eight years the other players have come and gone until finally deciding on the current lineup. They are Buddy Mason guitar and vocals, Shane Norman mandolin and vocals, Michelle Bailey fiddle and vocals, Andy Brown stand up bass and Joey Gipson banjo (who just happens to be a multi-year champion banjo player).
The band was well known in the bluegrass community. They were featured on a TV show called Song of the Mountains and soon they were getting calls to do more and more bluegrass shows. But they wanted to broaden their show by adding other genres. They loved taking classic rock n roll songs from the 50s to today’s hits and adding their own twist to make what the band calls “Talfordized”. They all agreed their current jobs was not what they wanted to be doing and they needed to go bigger to book large fairs, festivals, performing arts centers so they hired a professional agent/manager. The rest is history and Judge Talford is definitely on the rise. They are working with a seasoned tour promoter, booked all 12 days at the 2017 Florida State Fair, and have multiple festivals and other events booked for 2017 all over the country. Things are looking up for these talented five artists and they are ready for the exciting road ahead.
